Many of my European friends are now bypassing Thailand, as it's just become a melting pot of greed, catering for their new found Chinese friends, the Thai-ness has long gone.

The allure of new money, has taken the country from being a beautiful paradise, to one of pure commercialism, and in the process has clogged the whole system.

The costs also have increased to an unjustifiable levels, which makes Thailand very expensive in comparison to other countries in South-East Asia.

Should Thailand be made cheap for only certain countries to enjoy? Of course it becomes expensive when rich chinese push up the prices. It was even cheaper before europeans came in  all size and shapes to Thailand. At first the good Americans like Jim Thompson came then later on all the europeans and Americans pushed up the prices too they were the ones that did the first round so now the chinese turn to do it. Is that wrong again? Are they not allow to visit and do what you all Farangs had done?

Do Thai complains when Euro dollar made it so expensive for them to enjoy a tour of europe? So why are you complaining? I don't get it? Thailand is lost forever, a broken dream.Everyone is trying to screw Thailand for nothing.

So please don't say any more about Thailand, take it or leave it.

Two things especially stand out in this article: 1.  to help protect marine resources from swift deterioration brought by heavy tourism.    Whereas reality will be just gradual deterioration.

2. He said operating the travel business in the Chinese market is very challenging due to the language barrier and because Chinese tourists have specific behaviours and characteristic.

OK,  what's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the words Chinese tourist and specific behaviors?
