chubby Posted May 17, 2018 Share Posted May 17, 2018 Avodart is the brand for Dusteride , 1 uro here told me they start folks on it for 6 mo, as it works faster , then switch to Proscar (finesteride) for long term use ........ However, few months ago my primary MD said he wasn't aware of the distinction, and he is "not allowed" to write for Avodart, only the generic ...... so, since Avodart has no generic yet, that is possibly why ...... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
