As a newly married man and now father, I have been looking at life insurance options.  Does an annual premium of US$730, for a benefit of US$100,000 sound reasonable?  I'm 58 years old.  My wife already has a paid-for house in her home country.

Yes, $730 for US $100,000 sounds reasonable if you are 58. How much is the deductible?  Is it with Imglobal?  (They seem to be a good Western country with a high A+ rating).

I am 66 and pay over a $1000 per year with a $2500 deductible for comprehensive insurance with Imglobal.

I drive a motor scooter, and need decent accident insurance (and Imglobal covers sickness, cancer, etc, so it is not just an accident-only policy).  I would not bet my assets counting on a Thai company to pay.

Thanks. It's with a UK company which has an office in Thailand. No deductible. Just basic life insurance.

You're talking health insurance, OP is asking life insurance.
