19 political groups given permission to convene meetings

BANGKOK, 9th May 2018 (NNT) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has allowed 19 political groups to convene meetings, in preparation for the re-establishment of political parties.

Since March, 101 political groups have registered with the Election Commission of Thailand (EC) to form political parties. Of 61 groups that have already submitted letters asking for permission to organize party meetings, 19 including Palang Tham and Future Forward Parties have been given a green light. All political groups are required to obtain approval from the NCPO before they can conduct any political activities including meetings.

Meanwhile, in response to an activist group's demand for an election, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said there is a roadmap in place for the national polls.

The group has called for the NCPO to step down and asked for a general election to be held by November this year.

Secretary-General of the National Security Council Gen Wallop Raksanoh has urged the activist group not to break any laws and expressed his belief that the situation would remain under control.

Bet P.T. will not be the list for a while. Maybe some time just before the election if they have not fallen foul of the Election Commission by visiting Khun Shin or some other transgression.

Wow, after four years people are allowed to talk.  One can only guess what they will be allowed to do two years from now.  Debate little P and the man with the watch fetish ?

It would be interesting to know which ones

My guess would be mostly towards the green and yellow colour spectrum.

What about blue and purple, plus black and white as neutrals. Clearly, the Junta doesn't want red
