Video: Bangkok bus drivers fight in the street as passengers watch

CiHZjUdJ5HPNXJ92GRhFslK5ctAtOiIL6b.jpg

Two Bangkok bus drivers on the same Route 8 had a vicious fight as passengers on both buses looked on.

"Thiti Tohmad" posted two short videos of the fight and its aftermath on Facebook. A woman who looked as though she was a conductress was also involved in the melee.

Thiti said there had been some cutting in front of each other on the highway leading up to the five way intersection at Lat Prao in northern Bangkok around 1 pm on Monday.

There seemed to be a disagreement after one of the drivers tried to get ahead and pick up passengers.

Thiti said this was not the first time there had been trouble on this route.

You know that 'double-U' isn't literally meant that way right? or is your W key broken or lost?

It's the second one from the top left, right after the Q, unless you're French of course..

If it is really broken, hold down ALT and type 87 on the number pad.

Do the bus drivers get a % cut on the amount of passengers ?

Grab, the MRT or the BTS Skytrain have the answer to this lamentable incident ...

Yes they do, hence the idiotic racing for the next stop.

.. The colour of the buses might have something to do with the explosion of rage..

Paint them green or light blue :coffee1:

Drivers to report to police for questioning.

Police are concerned that bus driver on bus driver violence can have a negative impact on the international reputation of route 8

I agree with you weird. Why would you do that? I have seen 2 Sydney taxi drivers have a bust-up in George Street Sydney,  Just one of those things I guess.

I may be wrong, but what I read somewhere was that Bangkok service bus drivers were paid accordingly to the amount of runs they did on a shift.

I cannot believe they are supposed to run to a timetable, that would be impossible in Bangkok.

Isn't that called a double "Vee"?

I don't have a number pad on the lap so have to ask if you're serious about using alt plus the # 87.

I don't think that its about the money.I think that its just the Asian "Face" thing. And here in LOS it seems to stand out even more, along with the  Thai normal attitude of "Me First".
