New Windows (Not Computer)

Featured Replies

We are thinking of renewing our windows and doors, and have had a quote off Trade Upvc of Pattaya Klang.

Thay seem quite professional, if a little bit expensive. Does any body have any experience of this company, good or bad.

Don't mind paying for quality.

Windsor has a range whereby the existing frames are retained and overlaid with uPVC frames. Very quick and clean operation. Windows and doors are good quality too. I did not consider them too expensive either.

The main reason that I am having this done is because the existing frames are rotten.

I had them install a 3x1.5m uPVC window 5 years ago. Still like new, they did a good job.

But quality of finish with installation not. Did not finish installation properly.

I guess it depends on the time of the day and phase of the moon. One time you might get some one who knows their job, next time it's Somchai the Supermechanic fresh out of Nakhon Nowhere. It's a scourge one has to live with in Thailand. I think I got lucky that time.

The window was apparently made in a factory somewhere nearer to BKK, or so I was told. If I remember right it took couple of weeks to get it.

I also used them for small toilet windows and front door over 3 years now still very good the only problem was the mosquito nets the strings can be broken if your not careful.

Maybe worth getting some other quotes then which if nothing else may show that they actually aren't........

Have you tried Deku or the UK guy on the north bound Sukhumvit opposite the ramp to the 7 for example?

Been several threads on UPVC windows on here not that long ago.

Thanks for all your replies, I have also been looking at other companies, such as ARC, Euro PVC, and Deku.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these companies. I would like to do the whole house, and as it's going to be expensive I would like to get it done properly.

If that's possible ?

Yes but not recently. Had some replacement windows/doors put in some (over 5) years ago by Deku. Still happy with the product but needed to be very clear on some of the finishing.

Euro failed to come back with a quote in spite of coming to measure up and me going to their show room to remind them. Disappointing as they had been recommended by some people I know.
Arc very professional but very (relatively) expensive. If I remember correctly a TV member recently had Arc do his whole house and was very happy.

Had a recent quote from Deku and prices seemed to have risen a lot.
