This isn't a new issue. I would say if it's something you can do, just season the bank money. The trend towards seasoning enforcement has been going on for years already, so I would be surprised if you hear of a recent case here of going to Jomtien with a combo and a large bank portion that wasn't seasoned. A report of it being OK if the bank portion was very small wouldn't be relevant unless you were doing that.

Now that we're into the new year, has anybody gotten any OFFICIAL information from, or had actual experience with the Jomtien Immigration office regarding what they will require/accept for proof of financial responsibility for an extension of a "Retirement" Visa? Specifically, will they accept proof of monthly income via copies of a Thai bank account book showing regular monthly deposits? Or is an 800K balance the only acceptable proof?

No

Everybody is waiting for a new Police Order supposed to arrive this month...
