Why all the fuss about added fruit juices, I squeeze a bit of lime into my San Mig Light, lovely at sunset.

A splash of soda in Mont clair, jobs a good'n.

Lime in beer,  no thank you.

Also looks like a drop in alcohol content !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I'm not mistaken a similar box/bag wine was down to 10% alcohol!

All the cheap fruit wines are 10%. I think there are extra taxes if over 10%.

All those fruit wines have lowered alcohol at the last tax increase, because taxes are calculated on the alcohol content.

If they had kept at 13.5% the price would even be more ridiculous than now.

The Mont clair bag was also 2 liter previously, and now only 1.5 liter, to give the false impression that there was a price reduction

Been popular with Corona for a long time.....

Soda in wine, why not add a spoonful of sugar too?

We used to drink tomato juice in beer, and peppermint schnapps in beer.

Thunderbird coolers were pretty popular, T-bird with grapefruit juice...

Good point, although I rather scorned at those who drank such, as I savoured my bitter!

So in the "land of Trump" if you order a scotch and soda they ask you what flavor soda?

It you asked for 'Scotch' in a pub in Scotland, you would be thrown out on your ear. If by some miracle you happened to get served and then put anything in it other than a few drops of water, you would be flayed alive before being dumped on the street. As an Englishman who loved Single Malt, a visit to a Scottish pub, especially in Glasgow,  was quite an experience, both pleasurable and fraught with danger.

well in that case then,

why the comment about putting a spoon of sugar in wine then

or is that something you just like to do ?

Never liked scotch, never ordered it. I bourbon up water back or a gin gimlet.

Hardly... the idea of putting soda (water) into wine strikes me as odd enough. I have seen regular water added in Europe, for a lunchtime drink, or a glass for a minor.

A squeeze of lime works well in light lager beer in hot climates.

Look, stop the nonsense.

Put a splash of soda water in Mont clair and it takes the edge off. :coffee1:

Not odd, quite a popular drink in the UK, Spritzers are very common, white wine and soda, not to my taste but the ladies seem to find the drink refreshing

I saw some Russians in a top restaurant in Auckland order a bottle of Ch Margaux and mix it with Coke (in the glass)......pay $8000+ for a bottle of wine and mix it with Coke???
