What I thought I said was that it could be either way. To that I'll add that they also don't have to be doing it strictly weakest or strongest first. They seem to be saving the coach for last, (kids before adult, I suppose) and he was one of the weakest.

My guess is that the Assistant Coach will not leave until all the boys are out. He promised the parents that he would take care of them, and I think he will.

Bickering/flames removed and, in the interests of all the members who are likely to read through this thread tonight and tomorrow morning seeking info on the rescue, I also removed a number containing only light hearted banter. Nothing wrong with that per se,  but it is annoying to those who want to read the already long thread to get updated on events.

exactly right. I was understanding that this thread was to be just that, positive, reliable and encouraging reports and posts, but it seems to have drifted back to the old thread  that was stopped by John. I have had a post removed that suggested a new forum for only facts, positivism and NO BICKERING,  but admit I was a little peeved with a nit wit.  Sorry.   Again, is there a possibility we can have/start a thread that posts contain their known facts, updates, positivist and  no more about air tanks, nationalities etc etc..........   .Thanks Sheryl.   Chok De Krup.   GBW

Well some people really like a bit of banter.

It is a chat site isn't it? ?

You know all the people on here are armchair fact finders. This is a chat site you know. People come here to chat about current events.

If you want facts that are accurate by professional people involved with the rescue, go to an official website. This forum was designed for people to chat.

Sheryl just shut down another thread, can see her shutting this one down.

Did they ever say if the plan is to get them all out tonight?

As there is no difference between night and day in the cave, at 1st I thought they would would work non-stop until all were out. But to do this they would need to rotate more fresh divers and oxygen tanks into the operation from outside changing roles and equiptment at different locations in and out and maybe there are not enough experienced divers to do this, and/or it would make the operation much more complex with the likelihood of more things going wrong. They probably prefer to keep the same team of divers performing the same roles in the same locations each day hopefully making improvements and adjustments based on their daily experience. So of course this means some or all the divers must come out to rest and recuperate each night.

Banter is fine and can be of interest, stupidity, nonsense, repetitive rubbish etc is not.

For example: who cares if they're air tanks or oxygen tanks, if they weight 10 kg or 15 kg, nit picking etc.

Get over it.

How about the thread contains facts only. No rumors, no religious BS just facts. After everyone is out of the cave safely, then you can all speculate and bicker all you like. Some people just want to know that they are all ok, kids, rescuers and the coach.

It could well be what you say and could as easily be the complete opposite. Until we are officially informed of the official strategy, we are all seemingly just pissing into the wind.

That certainly hasnt hindered discussion thus far.

Actually having a point seems to be unnessecary.

Coaching from the peanut galery.

Not unlike a highschool suicide where the uninvolved take every oppotunity to shine in the reflected spotlight.

i badly hope they all get out, safe and sound, but the circus here is too much.

Not sure if this has already been posted (if it has @Sheryl please delete or move it), but I've just seen this moving tribute to Saman Gunan, the ex Navy Seal who lost his life

Ghoulish as ever.  This behaviour goes way back. Just stop it!

Why should this tribute be deleted, moved, or otherwise.? Saman deserves all recognition for his faith and control and for his willingness, passion and unimaginable desire to help others.

That's what I thought.

I also thought that it might have been posted already or that there might be a better place for it - there is so much being said on this incredibly important news item that I admit to not reading every post on every thread. VBF

If everything goes well tomorrow , I would imagine Hollywood is ready to make a movie out of this.

I feel for them in my heart, We would have done this a different method, perhaps it would of cost more money, but nobody would have less than 2 back up breathing air supplies.  Too late, and my heart goes out to this effort to save all of them within this technical ability.

Hopefully , it would be a good movie .

I was just wondering today as to whether it would be Thai or English spoken .

For authenticity, it should be in Thai , but for the wider audience , it would have to be English spoken

For the past 3 mornings here in Montreal, I have awakened at 4am. For the life of me I couldn't get back to sleep. Tomorrow will be the same, I sure. I turn on my computer, open several appropriate sites and become engrosed in this heroic epic happening in northern Thailand. I am 73 and never has any news story captured my attention as this one of 13 unknown Thai lads and the massive, world-wide effort to save their lives. WHY?

This is more captivating by far than any TV serial. The elements (too many to mention) are monumental, the heros too magnificent and the natural enemies too fearful. Much of the script is hidden forcing me to return each day. The forces of good are prevailing and, with all my being, I hope that continues to the conclusion.

There is much we can't see or are not allowed to see and that raises hundreds of questions in my mind and forces me to use my imagination to watch the story unfold. Everyone will have different questions and will view different senarios but that makes this forum and others so interesting.

In the end I'm sure all questions will be answered by those who were actually there amd the full, grand, heroic novel will be revealed. The movie will be great! (and I hope all the cast will speak in the language they used in the real situation with subtitles.)

Maybe in Australian, with English subtitles.

Get over it.

I personally am not interested, but it's a chat site and if that's what another person feels like discussing then that's there right. Acusing people of stupidity, nonsense, and rubbish just because you don't feel like talking about that topic is abusive to posters that are exercising their rights.

Some people like to focus on small details of weight or air, or the precipitation in the area.

So you get over it.

I agree entirely.
