Good that you set the record straight. Even better if you tweeted this correct info to donald trump so that he doesn't (purposely) twist the facts in an effort to rewrite history in an attempt to claim the rescue for America.

He was a bit tardy (or retarded) in entering the picture, perhaps only once it was showing signs of success.

Salute to the Brits and Australian, the rightful heroes of this rescue along with their awesome, multi-national support team.

"All for one and one for all" made it a success.

Yep! all praise to everyone involved. The sad thing is many foreigner's come to Thailand to work and encourage Thai's to become better, Many come as Teachers, and for the next couple of weeks will also be recognised by their help. Maybe not superhero's but, still hero's in the eyes of many young students. In a couple of weeks, Thai's will return to their old ways, Thai's will return to treating their helpers as 4th world, underpaid, backstabbed and generally held to ransom over work permits and excuses. No matter how loved they are by others , they are at the edge of jealous others who believe they are the kingpins of Thailand. They need to be reminded that English people, drop everything to help anybody in trouble or need, without requiring a big thank you. just to be treated as an equal in the same standard as they treat their fellow countrymen in the country that they help. No more No less. Let's see how Thailand honour the rescuers in relation to how they treat their own and those they rescued.

It would be a great gesture if the Thai Navy Seals bestowed an Award of Honour on these incredible people in recognition of their unbelievable bravery and efforts.

Surprisingly they didn't need a Work Permit...

Doubt there is any chance of any of them making it to Russia giving the timeline. Statements from the hospital suggest they will be there for a week undergoing tests.

 

What I would love to see would be FIFA to allow a live transmission on their big screens in the stadium before kick-off of them all (the wild boars) getting ready to watch the match on their own big screen and transmitting a message of thanks. Them watching us watching them sort of thing.

 

This story really has gripped the world, and the above, at least technically  anyway, should be very doable.

Yes it woukd be fantastic but it will be too soon. Also one boy has no Nationality so no ID of the kind to get him a passport. Lets hope this is sorted asap.

That is a great help by International volunteer team, who helped Thailand. 

Thailand should not think all Farangs come to Thailand to take over Thai's jobs.

True all heroes, i read somewhere the OZ doctor was requested to be there by the English cave divers who had worked with him before and knew his great worth to the this humane project which he willingly did, good on im! 

Fantastic effort by all the people involved in the rescue.The courage of the boys themselves,and the Thai navy man that perished,R.I.P. While all the international media focused on the cave rescue and wonderfull outcome,but at the other end of the country let’s not forget about the 40 or So Chinese that drowned when the ferry sank,after being warned not to go out to sea.RIP

So much talk on here and elsewhere about nationalities, personally, I think that the part of the thread title that sums it up best is Heroes, one and all.

The whole rescue was an excellent example of humanity pulling together as one, so many people involved, all with a role to play, most of whom we will probably never know about. 

Together they achieved the impossible, truly truly amazing stuff.

The only blemish in what was an almost perfect operation was the sad loss of life, Saman Gunan gave his life trying to help others, he was like so many others, a volunteer, not following orders, at least now his family know that his loss was not in vain, RIP young man.

Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart.

 

It matters not what the nationality is we are all HUMANS and if we can continue to help each other in hours of need then HUMANITY is better for it.  Three cheers to all those involved.

Can I just add my grateful thanks to all of the people who helped in this truly amazing rescue.  Also to the coach who obviously, somehow or other managed to keep the boys spirits up for ten days when all hope must have seemed to be lost.

 

So very sad that a volunteer lost his life as part of the effort to save the boys.

 

I wish everyone involved a safe, healthy and happy future life.

Every single person who got off their backside and helped in a positive way are heroes, from divers to people who simply pitched to up to help by providing hot food or run around helping preparations.  I am elated the boys are out safe but truly saddened by the negative and condescending comments to the Thais here.  Surely it is the height of human intelligence, competence and professionalism to recognise one's limitations then seek out, ask for and accept the assistance from others more qualified.  Comments demeaning anyone involved simply show the shallowness of the character of the individual posting those comments,maybe they should go out and do something positive for a change; they might find it fun!

Yes, they are all heroes. It warms an older mans heart that they all are out.  The biggest heroes are those who allowed foreign divers and other helpers to participate. Normally not Thai style. We can do it all by ourselves is their normal thinking. And no they cant.

Hope that these kids and families will have peace and left alone. No need to hunt them dear journalists. If and when they are ready they will talk and come forward.

Anyone say that the trainer should be punished are wrong.
