Hi,

Has anyone flown with Jet Airways from Manchester to Bangkok ?

I am looking at taking 3 of my Daughters out next year and their prices seem really cheap at the moment.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks' in advance.

I've not flown the Manchester leg but we used them a lot when doing various Indian projects (coz they're cheap of course).

As far as relatively low cost airlines go they're adequate, food (at least on the BKK-India routes) was veg curry or chicken curry (the veg was often better).

Do watch the layover at Mumbai (BOM), some seem to be very short (1hr30 with Indian security is going to be tight) others very long (12hrs plus adds a big chunk to the travel time). Trust me, whilst the new airport terminal in Mumbai is streets ahead of the old it's not somewhere I would want to cool my heels for 12 hours.

How old are the girls?

Hi Crossy,

Thanks' for your reply pal.

My youngest is 18, eldest 29.

Might just go with Qatar, they are 120 quid extra each. But I have flown with them before and never had a problem.

For the 120 squid extra, I'd be going with Qatar.

That's good enough for me.

Cheers for the info.

I've never heard a good word from people that I know who flew Jet.  The security hassle at Mumbai alone is good enough reason not to fly with them.

Search you tube for flight reviews.

Check their ratings on skytrax website too.

I'm glad I cancelled my booking within the 24 hour cooling off period.

Ive used them from London. Flight wise was very cheap and ok. Stopover wise not so good as has been said. I would only use them again if they were markedly cheaper than the others which is often not the case.

Take Jet Airways save the 120 gbp and then use that 120 to book a nice 5 start hotel in BKK or wherever. Jet Airways are ok if you are getting a good deal on the airfare.
