Im surprised he hasnt been lynched.

Why is that, because of some postings on facebook? How do you know he's guilty?

How come nobody have made a police report in 3 years? I'm not suggesting he's innocent, but really, hold your horses until there's more facts.

A committee WAS SET UP!! What the hell, the man is a rapist and should be in jail.

Fined 2 days pay, then allowed to carry on raping, bloody hell what is wrong with his seniors not responding properly after the first complaint.

..the man is an 'alleged' rapist..not proven..the first incident there was not enough reliable evidence to proceed..always extremely difficult to investigate any case of a sexual nature and to get enough creditable evidence to put before a court.

Ask yourself this question..why didnt the next person come forward and the next as it happened..no mention of this..until a ground-swell of alleged victims decided to speak out via social media..bottom line..they went about it the wrong way..the authorities were there all the time..just need to make yourself heard.

Why would they fine him two days wages in the first instance if he wasn’t guilty. And if he was deemed to be guilty then two days wages would not seem appropriate. A lot more than one wasted skin here and they’re stealing our oxygen.

I think you have missed the point. We all know it happens elsewhere. Religion has always had its perverts but when they are caught the authorities don't come out with a lack or refusal of responsibilities. The case here is the lack of enthusiasm to deal with the problems. In general, parents in the western countries come out to form outspoken organisations or take to streets in protest. That won't and can't happen in Thailand.,,yet at any rate.

Perfect answer.

We don't "Hate Thailand so much" but rather strongly dislike some of its problems.

But no jail time? This must be a parallel universe.

You fall. Use your brain a second who decide to send someone to jail ? Did the civil servant who was interviewed have that power ? No.

So there are various departments of Inactive Posts? Education; Police;  Army; Local Government; but none for multiple watch-owners.

The whole countries authorities are on permanent inactive posts unless there

are brown envelopes on the go.

"But in the next three years he raped or molested 20 others.

Until finall y at the beginning of this month a flood of complaints started on Facebook."

Where is the evidence of his raping and molesting? Complaints on social media are all very well but are hardly evidence. What exactly is being asserted when the term 'rape' is used?  It seems most odd to me that after the original episode nothing seems to have happened for three years then suddenly there is a 'flood of complaints.'

I find it concerning that a person can be publicly accused on facebook, then without a shred of evidence that persons picture and details are splashed onto mainstream media like this.

There is no evidence, just accusations at this point.

The problem is that the school, and now a committee of Education Department, are investigating the allegations and not the Police whose job it should be.

It makes me think of that affaire in the US about the doctor and all those athletes.  I'm just gobsmacked.

Police investigating allegations, is that really their job ?

As others have suggested, more information is needed before making judgments about guilt or innocence.

The committee will merely make recommendations about whether he will be dismissed from the service and loose his pension.

Assuming one or all of the parents make a complaint to the police then the police will pursue a parallel investigation and, if warranted, pursue a criminal prosecution.

Meanwhile, the Department of Inactive Posts gains a new recruit.

I'm not trying to make light of this - the allegations are very, very serious - but there must be a lot more to the story we have not yet heard (and probably never will).

Amazing Thailand. But lately most in the wrong way going all the way to the top banana's down to the whacky defamation system. So what is the excuse here? He was helping them all clean the floor?

Maybe he can become a catholic school teacher or priest or bishop and be protected by the Vatican and never go to jail.  Not just Thailand.

Teacher summoned for questioning for alleged rape of girl, 15

Police have issued summons to a physical education teacher at a well-known school in Bangkok’s Klong Toei district to report next week for questioning following accusations that he allegedly raped a 15-year-old schoolgirl in early June, Metropolitan Police Division 5 chief Pol Maj-General Mongkol Warunno said on Friday.

The girl’s parents had earlier this week filed a police complaint against the teacher. He faces four charges: of taking a minor away from her parents for a lewd act, raping the girl, molesting, and assaulting her.

Klong Toei district office director Atcharawadee Chaisuwirat said the teacher had been transferred to work at the district office pending an investigation. She said officials were keeping a close watch over him, as they feared he might commit suicide due to stress caused by the accusation. She assured that there would be no attempt to hush up the case.

Klong Toei education division head Ladawan Nonthasila said two teams – a fact-finding committee and a serious disciplinary probe committee – will probe the rape allegation. The disciplinary committee would hear testimony from the victim and her parents later in the afternoon.

On Thursday, Ronnasit Proeksayajiva, chief investigator at Nvader, a non-profit organisation combating human trafficking, accompanied the victim and her parents to lodge a formal complaint and submit the girl’s medical examination result, confirming rape, at the Tha Rua Police Station.

Ronnasit told reporters that the girl’s parents were temporary workers at the school hence the family, including the girl, stayed in the school compound. Ronnasit claimed that prior to being raped, the girl had been molested before by this teacher when she was 12 years old and studying in Prathom 6 there. On That occasion, the teacher allegedly lured her into a classroom on the pretext of cleaning it. The teacher allegedly pushed the girl down and tried to undress her but she kicked him and ran away. The girl informed her mother about the sexual attack but the family was afraid of the impact on their work.

It was later found that this teacher had also molested 15 other schoolgirls (by hugging, kissing and grabbing their breasts) and their parents had stepped forward to complain, resulting in a fact-finding probe. The probe found him guilty of violating the disciplinary code but led to a light punishment for him – of not being considered for a salary raise for two years – but he continued teaching at the school, said Ronnasit. After that the alleged victim changed her school but stayed with her family in the previous school premises.

A letter came in mid-May asking the girl to testify at the Khlong Toei District Office against the teacher, who offered a meal to the girl and 15 other accusers on the night of June 2 to settle the matter with them. None of the other girls showed up so the teacher asked the alleged victim to accompany him to talk. He took her to a karaoke bar where he invited her to drink beer along with him. He reportedly asked the girl to testify in his favour against the molestation accusation but she refused.

He brought the girl back to the school ground and asked to talk with her in a third-floor classroom. While in the classroom, he forced himself on her and allegedly raped her after which he gave her cash to go out and buy food for him. The girl fled the scene. Police could not file the rape charge pending a medical examination. The teacher was, however, charged at the time for being drunk and creating a disturbance. The medical result, confirming the rape, came out in early July.

Your trumpist attitude is worse than any in Thailand. You speak of jail when he has not even been found guilty by the school, never mind the courts of law.

“. . . Not even been found guilty by the school . . . “ That is the problem. When a complaint is made it should immediately become a criminal issue. The school plays no part other than to report to the police.

A country that allows the rape of its children speaks to the despicable and scummy nature of this country.  This shows just how mean and cruel the Thai people can be.  Thailand likes to think that its people are of a kind and compassionate character, but they're not. This latest episode of Thai conduct displays this all too well.  The teachers and administrators of this school raped these girls as well and should be treated as such.
