there are major govt. holidays every day but the 26th July and the 31st July. Should I wait until the 31st or go in on the 26th? Thanks. I've been gone for a couple of years & forget how do do things like this. .

Even better, go today !   It will not be granted immediately, and you will be required to come back to collect it.  With Public Holidays looming, there will be increased demand, so there is no time to lose!

You could of already done the extension. Most offices will do them a week or 2 early. You lose no days by doing it early since the extension starts from the end of your 60 day entry.

Today or tomorrow would be best.

For a thirty day extension?? It would be processed and passport returned immediately.

thank you, esp for info that the extension doesn't start until the day the visa itself expires.  going 'home'  takes all your energy & memory cells evidently.

now i must look for that promenada bus .it's already 8 45 am...
