'Tormented' Prayuth Ready To Punch Critics In The Mouth

BANGKOK — A Pheu Thai Party spokesman on Tuesday urged the leader of the ruling junta to apologize for publicly threatening to punch anyone who criticizes him.

 

Anusorn Iamsa-ard said Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha should retract the comment made Monday during a visit to Ubon Ratchathani province, where he told supporters that he has the right to defend himself from anyone who criticizes and dishonors him.

3 years ago he said he needed to improve on his PR and attitude towards the media in an interview with Al jazeera. Nothing has changed.

 

In fact nothing at all has changed, this interview could have been yesterday, not June 2015.

Gets tiresome to see this knuckle dragger dominating the news day in, day out with stories of how through his own bufoonery he is disgracing the post of Prime Minister, and lets be honest, the country itself.

 

The scariest bit is he isn't going away, and once the rigged election is over he'll be even more emboldened (read more stupidity prone) than ever.

 

Try as I might, I can't think of any genuine redeeming features, none. Can anyone else, because it is nice to see the best in people isn't it

 I hope and pray that he introduces draconian visa restrictions that will hurt his core farang supporters.

Floats like a butterfly stings like a bee... annoying attitude reminiscent of Thai soap operas. Not doing much to stop the hostile attitude we see every day as reported here on TV. When the great leader talks like that some will surely follow the lead.

I can't imagine that there are many of those guys left, Can't you pray for something that targets only them?

This is real Thailand .......... A leader of a country who threatens violence because of criticizium of his politics portrays the mindset here. It shows just how dangerous it is for foreigners here if they do not understand the culture. The country's population are really "hot headed" & you must tread very lightly to not fall into this trap. Everyone here is so volatile if he/she is criticized or is questioned about his/her actions in all walks of life here. The so called "Loss of Face" can be deadly & often does result in violence here ......... & it's evident in the media & streets every day ........ to date no anger management courses seem to be available, but if ever there was a need for such a scheme it should be here! I continue to live here by choice, but this part of Thailand is not pleasant. Hopefully something, sometime, by someone will recognise this & get it sorted ......... fingerscrossed eh?
