Reminds me of Mohammed Ali...……….."I am the greatest!"

Difference is Ali backed up his boasts with action that confirmed he was the greatest.

What a whiny little girl.   If you can't handle some (very reasonable) criticism, go home.   Jesus wept...

More like he needs a kick in the rocks.

Gets tiresome to see this knuckle dragger dominating the news day in, day out with stories of how through his own bufoonery he is disgracing the post of Prime Minister, and lets be honest, the country itself.

The scariest bit is he isn't going away, and once the rigged election is over he'll be even more emboldened (read more stupidity prone) than ever.

Try as I might, I can't think of any genuine redeeming features, none. Can anyone else, because it is nice to see the best in people isn't it

There is one redeeming feature! He did do something right in 4+ years (IMO). When the boys and coach were stuck in the cave, he said (not verbatim), "do whatever it takes to get them out, the government will pay for it".

Can we grant him this one thing?

But Ali was.

When is the next election?

This outdated guy is getting very nervous by the days because he knows it very well his time is over soon!

I guess a punch in the mouth is better than getting shot with that "pointed gun".

wow. Some of these comments seem defamatory.  Couldn't this guy go after the posters here for saying what they are saying about them?  I'd be scared spitless I'd get thrown in jail.

Happened in Ubon.  Bunch of unruly bastards living here in Issan. Brings out the worst in people.

Good job he wasn't directly organising it, in case he might have said, "get the Thai citizens out, don't bother about the illegal aliens"

And what if someone punches back...?

Every Thai friend I have, which are many in the 25 years of living off and on in tn the country, have zero time for Mr.Prayut and the resentment is growing.

I'm sure, as is he, that his bodyguards will make sure no one punches him back. Likely the punched person will be shot during the "assasination attempt".

Is that a good example for a leader, (cough), to set, especially for youngsters to follow????

Too late from what I've seen of the youngsters. Heck, it could be that the leader is following his subjects in this matter.  Seems overboard for some trash talk against him, he has the  pulpit pretty much to himself every night to trash talk back, I thought.

"Can we grant him this one thing?"  Why ?  It's no more than should be expected from any "leader" in a similar circumstance. To say "do whatever to get them out" was all that was required. The government will pay for it is pure grandstanding.

Most Thai's despise this immature creep. He'll cop more than a punch in the face if he doesnt leave office  when he said he would. If  he buys the PM job next year there will be student riots in Bangkok. Just like the good ol'  days ...army communists  shooting  democracy students.

Absolutely.  There are too many "face" protecting, violent, short tempered Thais already

Your question would make a good stand-alone thread. I'd like to hear what others have to say. Why not start a thread?

how do you think he became leader? Im sure Thailand has got more violent since he demonstrated that thats the Thai way to get what you want

Just look around the world at the people who run their countries. Corruption, scandals, poor decisions, unpopular policies, destabilising nations and regions ..........

Prayuth then said he isn’t a prime minister people can step on, adding that “even I don’t step on others.”

 Except elected Prime Ministers maybe.

Ali, at least, had more of a claim on the title. This guy is a rice paper thin skinned pretender.

And Thaksin stole billions with a pen. I'll take Chan-o-cha any day over any Shinawat -- and there are many Thais who will agree.

He is the leader a large and very vocal  group on TVF demanded.

I hope and pray that he introduces draconian visa restrictions that will hurt his core farang supporters.

Yes I remember when TV was very Yellow Shirt!
