Sadly, the death penalty is not an option ??

"In the Torah We prescribed for them a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, an equal wound for a wound: if anyone forgoes this out of charity, it will serve as atonement for his bad deeds. Those who do not judge according to what God has revealed are doing grave wrong." (Qurʾān, 5:45)  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_for_an_eye#Islam

On the other hand, someone (perhaps it was Ghandi?) said, "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind".

These attacks are horrendous and if the victim/s survive often life changing injuries. These attacks are not only carried out by members of the Muslim community. From the article below dated 07/2017 it appears UK criminal legislation has yet to catch up with this type of crime; hopefully new law/s can quickly be enacted, with suitably harsh sentencing provided.

If attackers are indeed living in the UK as asylum seekers / dual citizens after serving their entire sentence should, if legally possible, be deported.

EDIT. New law enacted, though IMO not tough enough.

I think that they should be given life sentences on bread and water rations for maiming a child

The guy was an asylum seeker as was his wife ,and the 3 who actually did it are not British either,so sad for the little boy ,not his fault , but i am so glad i grew up when i did ,not now in the sh-thole that the govts have allowed my poor country to become .

think its bad now , ? you wait

I agree totally.  Instead of just making sure they can speak English I think that they should have to undergo a complete psych analysis.

Despite police not naming the identities the younger suspects are bare-knuckle fighters and eastern Europeans from the Romani community. According to reports the boy’s mother, from eastern Europe, had fled to Worcester from Wolverhampton following a fractious breakup.

From the West Mercia Police Press Release:

“For legal reasons, the force has taken the decision not to name the defendants.“

Barstool pundits will of course have more information on this than the police dealing with the case.

There was a security camera photo of them in which their ethnicity was obvious.

Why quote troublemakers?

There is, and the police had previously released those photos to the media with a request for help from the public to contact the police if they know the suspects.

Which kind of knocks a gaping hole in the idea that the police were somehow trying to cover up the ethnicity of the suspects.

What’s left then is the police statement that they have withheld the names (of the people who’s photos they had already published) for legal reason?

Let’s see you struggle with that.

Brave 'men' indeed. Was four of them holding the kid while the fifth doused the chemicals?  Death penalty to all of them.

Perhaps they cold do something positive with the Brexit debacle and temporarily restore

hanging for only the most heinous acts, such as those against children.

Yes, I get it.....but I wonder if there is some kind of law preventing this? I mean....I don't think so, but who knows.

Not a law as such, so far as I'm aware but it is standard practice. According to the Authorised Professional Practice guidance produced by the College of Policing in the UK, the police should not name those who are arrested or suspected of a crime, unless there is an exceptional circumstance or legitimate policing purpose.

See more detailed info on the link below:

When should the police name a suspect?
