I'm planning to spend 6 months in Bangkok, doing the 2 X 90 day visa route, unless anyone has a better idea as my length of stay will be , ideally, 7-8 months. Are there any limitations on renting a condo for 6-8 months?

It will depend on the landlord. Some will want a minimum of 1 year contract, but there are plenty that will rent by the month. Landlords aren’t usually bothered by your visa status.
