A Phuket women had a rant on Facebook after she had her motorcycle stolen in Krabi.

But that was not the only thing.

The police failed to get any result from their inquiries but the next contact she received was from the force.

It was a picture of the thief riding her bike demanding that she pay a fine for not wearing a helmet.

Suwadee Kaeturat said the cops should get their fingers out and trying and find the guy who pinched her bike - and not send her tickets for something she could not have done.

The story was widely shared by thousands of people on social media.

Love it. Nothing to be done sorry. Pay up,and shut up. Thats thailand.

RTP incompetence at its best, but they have to pay their bills somehow !!!

Teething troubles suggest removing your number plate to blend in.

In this country, common sense is often as distant as the next red moon (in 105.000 years).

Welcome to Thailand 0.4!

Imagine the rant of netizens, if it turns out the cops in charge needed foreign help to pass the police entry exam, after their exam-enhancer-envelope didn't meet the requirements.

Pattaya police rascals.  How dare they invade the territory of the Phuket police.

I  think the ticket for no helmet comes from a different division of police and all she has to do was simply show then the report she submitted for the stolen bike

Don't disturb the officers during their duty can be a reason for a fine ticket!

brilliant story. sounds like my everyday life here in shtzville. was starting to think i was cursed or something or perhaps this religous mumbo jumbo might be right.

Nup, just life!

police are the crooks in thailand. still people think its somewhere you go to report crime.

Thanks for the one reasonable post in this thread.

Now they try to do something to let people wear their helmets and you think they are incompetent?

You probably do agree with me that the RTP should fine people more often for not wearing their helmets, right?

Tell me how the RTP could know that that guy stole the bike he was riding? Oh, I know, he forgot to wear his helmet with the word thief on it 5555555

Yes but you can't arrest yourself if you are RTP, but that can change

Hope they’ve got some of those cameras outside the school at the bottom of south Pattaya road

Looks like Phuket police are trying to be equal to Pattaya police. Shameful!

The hint about were it happened is in the bold print....

Although the victim is from Phuket, I note the bike was stolen in Krabi.

Where was the photo of the helmetless thief taken?

The "keystone cops" may not be from Phuket either.
