Four escape serious injury in dramatic Phuket three vehicle collision

Four men have been injured after three vehicles were involved in a collision on Thepkrasattri Road in Rassada his morning (Aug 2).

 

Kusoldarm rescue workers were notified of the incident at 6.28am today on Thepkrasattri Road, northbound lane, near the SuperCheap main store in Rassada.

 

The four people injured include the driver of the white pick-up, 28 year old Kittithorn Meejor, who has sustained injuries to his brow, 24 year old passenger Manop Krongyod, who sustained arm and neck injuries, 21 year old Apidet Insum and 17 year old Punyawat Imsombat who both sustained minor scratches.

Have a look at the video.  Pure reckless and lucky they and everyone around them got off lightly.

Three young male in one of these ridiculously pimped "race pickups".

Whenever I watch one of them, I think that such would happen sooner or later.

When one is around on the road, I try to "duck and cover", make way.

Low brain, high speed.

In the west they can afford pimped BMW's

On EVERY ride to some distance (an hour or so) I will see such.

Seems he wanted to pass on the right but the vehicle in front got in the way.

Unlucky owner of black pickup parked on the frontage road.

With that kind of luck, expect lottery sales to spike of his license plate number.

Lucky the car forced onto the other lane and direction didn't get hit by other traffic.

and unfortunately they have survived the crash so, as soon as they can, they will be on the road again, trying to kill somebody else...

In my 10 years of having a small but successful café in Rawai I personally witnessed 27 accidents right outside my business !! And on one night a honda jazz mounted a foot high curb then 3 steps into my café spun around and landed back on road facing the opposite direction in which it was  traveling, lucky he was insured and I got full payment for damage, then my friends said I should change name from "Morning Coffee" to Mike's drive in!!!!!!!    

Last week we read of a mentaly defective chap who stole a bus.   Today it looks like another has stolen a pickup.

He thought he had the latest Airbus !!

He should be banned for at least 10 years on the evidence of that video. Crazy excessive speed on a standard 2 lane road with all the usual obstacles that Thai roads offer. Lucky for him to still be alive, not so much for the rest of us.
