Hi everyone, I am choosing a health insurance for me and my family here in TH, and I narrowed down to 4 companies: ACS, My Health (April International), LUMA and LHG.

Anyone has recent experience with any of those companies that you might want to share? I have seen some posts but very old and not sure whether things have changed.

Just for complete info, me and my wife are both in our mid 40's, generally healthy and looking for an inpatient insurance only to cover big risks. Kids are 5 and 7 and luckily in good health.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I recently chose LUMA as my insurance buddy, their service is really good and they answered every questions that I have nicely. But yeah, the most important part is coverage.Their coverage could go up to 48M THB which is quite high in Thailand, and almost all the big risk are paid in full by them no matter which plan you choose. Cashless and hassle free experience at BHN, BKK hospital and Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital is a huge bonus. You can check more on their website: https://www.lumahealth.com/personal-health-insurance/

I am looking at this currently for In Patient only but much older than you.

Based on my research and emails -

Luma - seem competitive and response has been pretty good

ACS - have lifetime and non lifetime (Asia) policy. Lifetime policy very expensive.

April - only note I have is they pay you after 15 days not direct to the hospital. Not asked for a quote.

LHG - do you mean LMG as do not know LHG?

The other potential contenders at the moment are -

Pacific Cross - but have not responded to my emails at all........

Cigna - surprisingly competitive and quite responsive  with very good reputation.

Globality - mentioned in another forum and looks competitive.

Depending on how long you want to maintain the insurance you may want to ask the companies what the premiums would be if you were applying at 50/55/60 or whatever and, as with ACS what age they will renew up to.

However you sound young enough not to worry too much about that at this stage
