And there is the problem.....after all the time, effort and baht put in to restoring and beautifying the beach, and sorting out all those pesky vendors we simply cannot have the tourists staying in the hotel pools, can we ? They must go down to the beach, and preferably hire a jet ski so the cops can get their share of the inevitable “damages compensation”, no money in it for the cops when people go to a pool party at a hotel.

I was at the kolours party in Pattaya at the weekend, and sorry to disappoint anyone, it was definitely not a sex orgy.

 

I did not get the impression that there were any paid pretties or hookers and I did not see anyone naked or anything remotely like a sex orgy (if anyone wanted hookers soi 6 was a short walk away though 5555)

 

Alot of the people attending were from the BKK party crowd, many of the same faces I have seen around at places like Sing Sing, Beam, Glow, mustache as well other events like Tomorrowland, both Thai and farangs.

 

Overall it was a well organized event, no trouble whatsoever, with some really good dance music and a decent sound system.

 

The party was moved inside at 11pm so as not to disturb people in the surrounding buildings.

 

Overall it was a great well organized event, with a great music and a friendly crowd. I hope the false accusations against the organizers do not put off the organizers from holding future events in Pattaya.

The expats of Pattaya should strike back and try to restore the Sin city to it's proper former glory by having an orgy along the length of the entire beach road, preferably from dawn until dusk. 10,000 people or so would send a good message for the puritans to bugger off.

 And I'd been led to believe Pattaya was a wholesome place; for wholesome people!

Surely as with all things and in most societies such matters need to be discreet and not in your face. Be careful in Thailand to be decent in public and not break normal conventions; you cannot in Europe either. Some Farangs think they can  get drunk and be rude, or act crazy. No you can not - subtlety, respect and still have a good time. The Thais have their line, love a good time but they are Buddists and the alcohol  limitations for example indicate a Society where like most others there are controls. Those of us who know this country know that respect is fundamental and drunk 'new comers' mistakenly think some excesses in Pattaya are the norm. No Pattaya is not the typical norm and for decades the balance is carefully controlled in this tourist city  with excesses or open   indecency clamped down on and people arrested.

Do not disrespect your host country and abide by normal Thai behaviors. Pattaya is not typical of this Bhuddist nation run at the moment by the army etc; by all means enjoy what Thailand offers but do so as a visitor blending in to a tourist city or wherever. The Thais have limits on drink, decency etc ...be careful as you would in Europe etc.,

Ain't my hosts, I invaded by the power of my wallet, nobody invited me. As a paying customer I'll do as I please, including orgies with monks on top of a temple. Well, not really but buddhist...pffth. Animist with more than a little capitalism added. A bit of porking goes well with it, as the folks in robes have amply demonstrated in the news.

Maybe they should raid a few go go clubs first , I've been told they have sex shows in there.

 

Also there is a nudist organization in Thailand where you can party nude, that would keep the police busy for a while.
