Pals killed in narrow road in Petchabun

Two friends in their 60s were struck and killed by a speeding pickup truck in Phetchabun on Monday night.

Yao Khampaeng, 63, and Kasem Saengchan, 61, had just stepped through the front gate of the house of a friend they’d been visiting in Moo 2, Tambon Ban Toke, Muang Petchabun.

That placed them on a narrow road with no sidewalk.

A pickup driven by Rungroj Jaiharn, 34, slammed into them, dragging their bodies about 30 metres before stopping.

Yao and Kasem died with broken necks.

Rungroj claimed the men suddenly appeared on the road in front of him and he couldn’t stop in time.

Friends of the pair told police that Yao had to help Kasem, who was partially paralysed, get around, and they’d been to one of their buddies’ houses for a few drinks.

They said someone even called out to Yao and Kasem as they were leaving to be careful of passing vehicles.

Drunk and paralysed, oh well...

Getting slain at or near your house looks increasingly popular over the last few days?

Of course he do. Everybody else is dead. Even if he followed them and drove over them 10 times, he would never admitt anything. That´s thai style.

One step outside the front gate and your in the hands of the gods!
