Visa Will Expire Soon?

Hello,

 

My visa will expire on 10 september. I have a work permit but still not done yet Non-B visa extension based on work permit. If I go immigration 7 or 8 september is that okay? Or is there any rules it have to be done before expire 1 week ago etc.?

You should have no problem applying for the extension on or before September 10th.

Thanks. How much is it? How long does it take to prepare new visa? Same day or 2 days?

An extension of your permission to stay (it is not a new "visa") costs 1,900 baht. If your documentation is in order, they can usually process an extension on the basis of working the same day. Sometimes, they may need to keep your passport overnight, if the senior official who must do the final sign off is not available. As you are leaving it late for making the application, ensure your employer is 100% familiar with the required supporting documentation, and that you meet the salary requirements for an extension of stay based on working. You will not have a lot of time to resolve any issues with the application.

 

Note that September 8th is a Saturday, and you will not be able to apply on that day.
