Are you aware that Musk stated the reason was because they were all pedophiles and do you agree with his statement ?

Musk didn't state that. But I'd say that a high % of those sexpats are likely to be.

In anycase, you have to seriously ask why he hasn't sued Musk yet, if his background is so clean?  Hoping for a payoff without any court scrutiny, perhaps?

Having a lawyer send a threatening letter, is an indication you have no leg to stand on in a court of law.

Musk did state that and Vern has begun the legal process to sue him

One more word from Musk and I will sue him myself. He is putting all of us who choose to live in Thailand in a bad spotlight.

Does he think Thailand, a country with 60 million people,  is only about sex tourism ?

Then why did he come here in the first place with his idiotic capsule and showed his ugly face in the caves where all the heroes were?

He can never be a hero , a genius they say , but half of his brain does not seem to work .

Good point. Probably Musk wanted to look at lots of young boys and he brought a mini-sub to have a good excuse for his trip.

Trouble for Vern and for many visitors to Thailand, particularly if you've visited Pattaya.

Imagine having to answer honestly every question some top flight lawyer paid to defend Musk would ask of you.

It might go something like this with any bloke who's been to Pattaya:

Have you been to Pattaya?

answer: Yes

Are you aware that Pattaya is considered by some as a place where sex occurs between tourists and locals?

answer: Yes

Are you aware of reports that there have been many underage escorts found in bars and clubs in Pattaya?

answer: Yes

Have you been to bars and clubs in Pattaya?

and so it rolls on, and I can very honestly say, I'd hate to be put on the stand to answer. Even knowing you'd done nothing "wrong", the process is designed to destroy you.

Vern has stated that he has never been to Pattaya , so, the first answer would be "No"

If anything Musk has said is even close to the truth, surely a newspaper like the Daily Mail would by now have found a story to publish from at least one of the dozens of foreign reporters recently in Thailand.

A rich guy like Musk can afford to run this through the courts using his legal team to make all sorts of accusations under questioning. Doesn't matter if you have done nothing wrong, good lawyers can make you look bad regardless.

This article was written by Huff Post. They are widely know for deliberately publishing misinformation to get people to read their garbage. They sell sensationalism to get attention. They never let facts interfere with their stories.

This kind of uninformed garbage is precisely why he's being sued. Musk's latest diatribe is deeply insulting not just to Unsworth, but to all male expats and tourists, as well defaming the reputation of Thailand. He seems to have completely lost the plot.

No it wasn't - the original article (and the email conversation it was based on) came from Buzzfeed News. The original Buzzfeed organisation did share a co-founder with the Huffington Post but they are separate organisations.

Buzzfeed News has a staff of 20 investigative journalists, has won a number of press awards and is generally regarded as a reputable news organisation.

In this case, where they are quoting word for word from Musk's emails and have reproduced them in full in their article, I don't see how you can accuse them of publishing misinformation.
