ANKARA (Reuters) - A Syrian government offensive in Idlib would cause humanitarian and security risks for Turkey, Europe and beyond, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.

In an article in the Wall Street Journal, Erdogan also called on the international community to take action on Idlib, the last rebel enclave in Syria, and warned that "the entire world stands to pay the price" otherwise.

Erdogan, who met with his Russian and Iranian counterparts at a summit in Tehran last week, also said Russia and Iran had a responsibility to stop the humanitarian disaster in Idlib.

what a hypocritical weasel

Right on the money, if Turkey would have been the one that will suffer the most from the outflux of millions of refugees into his country, that megalomaniac would not utter a word, all of a sudden this brute person become a humanitarian...

One would have thought it would be them potential refugees who'll "suffer the most".

Nice to someone with a humanitarian thought. Countries and their braggard politicians talk about suffering while they stay in luxury and get driven to meetings about things they have no first-hand knowledge of. Well said Morch.

Haven't you got it backwards? Turkey is in fact in danger of being overrun with refugees if the attack on Idlib takes place.

Dude want's ISIS and Al-qaeda working for Turkey as proxies - elsewhere, not living in his back yard as gate crashers. He'll support the head-chopping Takfiris but doesn't want them living in his crib.  Humanitarian.  Right.

YOU are a security risk, Erdo !!! And I am disgusted that the West still does business with you and your corrupt and Islamofascist government.

I hope that the Kurds will win in the struggle against you.

You are someone who is no different than Slobodan  Milosevic; you should be tried for war crimes.
