The ‘2,215’ production team while filming Toon’s run.

BANGKOK — The rock star runner behind a cross-country charity run that raised millions for public hospitals hopes a film about his experience will reignite the public’s desire to give.

Moviegoers have until Sunday to catch “2,215 Believe, Crazy, Bravely Stepping Forward,” or simply “2,215” for the number of kilometers run by Artiwara “Toon Bodyslam” Kongmalai, whose run late last year between the southernmost and northernmost points of Thailand became a national rallying point.

Government should be embarrassed that someone like this has to appeal for funds for hospitals when said government is quite happy to squander money on submarines, slash the education budget and buy tanks from China plus all the other misspent money. Tbh, I have no idea where they are getting all these funds from for the continuous spurge of give-aways to all and sundry when basic services are left wanting like hospitals...not good.

Any follow up on how the funds were allocated and what they achieved

Good luck with that...but now they want more for the black hole and there will be no accounting again as to where it has gone.

I'm trying to stay positive on this but with no announcement of what assistance the money provided, I don't want to think too much.

i wonder how many millions were *lost* and what was bought with these millions, no one seems accountable,  its like here is a million baht, thanks we bought half a dozen bed pans with it.. lol

Hospitals do desperately need new Swiss watches to borrow to diarrhoea patients, so they know precisely when to hit the loo.

The run of Toon helped Big Head P get another photo OP trying to make him look cool!.

That is best.

The same for "Toon Bodyslam"

Best to ignore the chronic corruption, utter laziness and cargo cultism..

Maybe things will get better some day..

Although I have no information on what the money raised has been alocated to,  the absence of any reports is distressing. I would have thought some grand hand over ceremony. Maybe I missed it.

From memory there was some kind of list showing where the money was / went allocated, but for follow up - very doubtful.

No..you didn't.

Full marks to Toon  and his heroic run..

The worst thing about this is that no  individual can  change anything in Thailand-the penalty of the  hive mind.

Whats worst is that, money raised by Toon will be misspent by corrupt officials in hospitals as well. Ok save for some of the good folks.

Met Toon before, he's a good lad, very well educated.
