Two more Indian Tourists drugged and robbed from their Hotel room.

We now take you to the Golden Beach Resort and to room number 2001 on the 2nd floor occupied by two Indian Tourists.

It appears that organized gangs of working girls are now operating in the Pattaya Area who will lace drinks with sleeping tablets to allow them time to steal valuable items from Hotel Rooms. They tend to target mainly Indian Tourists; however incidents involving other nationalities have been reported by us.

Mr. Nilantha Peiris aged 35 and Mr. Chaminda Rathasin aged 36 were discovered by a Hotel Security Guard who decided to check on them after they were seen taking two women back to their room who left quickly about one hour later. An Ambulance was called after both men were found in semi-conscious states.

They were both taken to Hospital where they are now recovering from the effects of an overdose of sleeping tablets. Police have managed to speak with them and the men claim that over 100 US Dollars in cash was taken from the room. Police are now checking the Hotel CCTV cameras, but for now, the identity of the two suspected thieves is unknown.

There have been a number of these cases recently involving Indian Nationals..................I wonder why they seem to be the main targets of this?

Is there a common link?

Is it the establishments that they frequent?

Well perhaps bit harder for the lads to get a shag, and well they get a bit of attention, and easily fall for the feminine charms?

I reckon Fox might be on the right path looking at where the girls work. Also they may find Indians are less likely to go to the cops. If you know Indian cops, you might understand this.

Well think lot of these lads, pickup freelancers, so that might be part of the reason. More inherent risk to dodgey things going on.

What is the world coming to when a gullable fool cannot trust a woman he's only known for 10 minutes on the understanding that if she sleeps with him, he will pay her with money ??

To be honest I think it is because they are easy pickings. Most Indians and Arabs have a natural intolerance for alcohol, give them a few beers and it won't take many sleeping tablets to knock them out.

Probably it's a small group doing this, perhaps just one person, and that someone happen to be in the Arab/Indian market...
