House Oversight & Government Reform Committee discovered an April 10, 2017, text from Strzok to Page that said: “I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go.”

Then, two days later, Strzok reached out to Page to congratulate her for planting two stories that were critical of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

“Well done, Page,” Strzok wrote.

Leaks occurred on the Clinton side of the investigation only, mainly from the FBI director, Comey.  Most of the leaks were instigated to respond to pressure placed on the FBI by the GOP to prosecute Clinton for her personal email server.  It turns out, there was nothing of significance in Hillary's personal email account.  The hacked emails were obtained from Podesta and other DNC staffers.  That's the real evidence.

 

You notice that there were absolutely zero leaks about the investigation by the FBI as to Trump campaign ties to Russia.  The only leak was when Steele thought the FBI was not seriously considering his intelligence work, so took it to the media.  That wasn't a government leak, but caused the FBI to cut ties with Steele.  The next public revelation was publication of the Steele dossier by Buzzfeed.

 

The Hill article you cite doesn't reference when the alleged leaks from Page and Stroek occurred.  If you read the context, it was sometime around May 2017, long after the FBI's investigation into Trump's became public knoweldge.  The best the article can say is "it is likely" there were leaks before and after Mueller's appointment.

 

Carter Page had been under FBI investigation for 2 years prior to joining Trump's campaign.  He was a minor player, but had already been under a FISA warrant, so when he joined up with the Trump campaign, and given Papadapolous' drunk utterance, it wasn't a leap of logic for the FBI to surveil him.  After all, he publicly admitted he wanted to work for Russia as a Nat Gas specialist, and attended a conference in Moscow where he criticized US energy policy towards Russia (ie, sanctions).  Page is an idiot, so both Putin and the FBI gave up on him.

 

The real evidence is the guility plea of Manafort.  "From in or about and between 2005 and 2017 . . . Manafort together with others, including Gates and Kilimnik, knowingly and intentionally conspired to defraud the United States by impeding, impairing, obstructing, and defeating the lawful governmental functions of DOJ, the Department of Treasury, and others to commit offenses against the United States."  That means that while Manafort was chairman of Trump's campaign, he conspired with a Russian oligarch to obstruct the DOJ's investigation of that campaign.  BOOM!

Comey is quoted as saying that granting immunity deals was a much faster way to gather evidence as the alternative was to get a grand jury to subpoena the laptop, which he said could have ignited a years long legal fight because Mills was also acting as Hillary’s attorney. 

“The FBI judgment was we need to get to that laptop. We need to see what it is,” he said. “This investigation’s been going on for a year. And this was, in the negotiation, a tool that her lawyer asked for, that the Department of Justice granted so we could get the laptop.”

“The department granted immunity to the one fellow who erased the stuff so that we could figure out, did anybody tell you to do this, did anybody ask you do this, to see if we could make an obstruction case — we couldn’t,” he said.

They were granted immunity so they would be free to testify against Hillary and not purger themselves. Even though the immunity deal was to get something on Hillary, they still couldn't find enough information to prosecute her for anything other than being careless.

To be honest, Hillary's emails have been done to death and although it doesn't fit with your 'deep-state' conspiracy mumbo jumbo we are actually talking about Trump and his attempts to scupper an on-going investigation.
