I got a request from an UK bank to provide an embassy certified confirmation of my home address in Thailand.

Anyone confirm what documents I need to show at embassy for this and what they will provide?

I have a yellow book, Thai driver lic and home ownership documents all in Thai. Do I need any more? Would one need cert of residence from immigration also, that would take time and be in Thai as well? Does all the Thai stuff need translating before going to embassy or do they read Thai? If English who is supposed to translate? Can I do that myself or must be some other authority be paid to do it?

Appreciate any help, never been asked by a bank for this before.

Best ask the bank why they need such information before paying for a letter to confirm your address.

Why would the bank need to know your Thai address ?

Sounds like some sort of scam.

Looks legit - not a scam from the head office, bank wants it to comply with new govt anti money laundering laws they say. I am not going to do it necessarily as they also say on same requirements list a letter from a local bank manager would do, and that would be a lot cheaper than embassy. Still got to call the bank to find out exactly, just collecting info at moment so thanks to all.
