webfact Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Brit tourist and Myanmar girlfriend injured as bike does "somersault" on Pattaya hill Picture: Sophon Cable Witnesses said they saw a foreign tourist and his girlfriend do a somersault after they failed to negotiate a bend on Pratumnak Hill, Pattaya in the early hours of the morning. Dao,22, had some road rash and an unnamed British tourist had knee and head injuries as well as other road rash. They had been propelled into roadside undergrowth while the Honda Click that the Brit had been riding with the woman on the back was on its side 30 meters away, reported Sophon Cable TV. Sawang Boriboon rescue gave them first aid at the scene then took them both to hospital nearby. Source: Sophon Cable -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-09-21

Popular Post Kerryd Posted September 22, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2018 First time I went up Big Buddha hill I was a little nervous as it looks pretty steep (I was riding a Honda Phantom). I'd jogged up that hill a couple times, but had never went up it on a scooter. After a couple trips it was no big deal. Coming down you have to take it easy on the curves but it's not a major worry. Then I went up that hill in Koh Chang. Sheesh, I thought for sure I would be doing a somersault as well. Then going down the other side it was like, one slip and you are going over the cliff. So glad the roads were dry. 3

Popular Post lvr181 Posted September 22, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2018 (edited) Just another smart assed dipstick rider! And the poor girl suffers. Him, I don't care about. Not the first time and won't be the last either for this type of crash. Edited September 22, 2018 by lvr181 Additional wording 3 1 1

sawadee1947 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 I would think the Brit got brain problems prior to the accident. Wanted to show what a tough driver he is...... on a Honda click ? .... Or the brakes were not working..... as usual excuse... 1 1

Attempted a double axel with lutz, very difficult to complete on a Honda Click and will cover some distance. The Lord loves a trier though. 1

oldrunner Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 This is just another reason I did not graduate from Schwinn bicycles to Motorized.
Popular Post johng Posted September 22, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2018 Right and if the bike was 30 meters away from where they flipped, he must have been giving it some gas. Maybe not ..its quite a steep hill. 2 1
observer90210 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 of course despite being early in the morning, no drinking was involved.....only helmets were involved, either by their presence...or their absence !!

scubascuba3 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 looks pretty flat to meIts the steepest in the area, the bend you have to take carefully. Guy having been drinking would have been going too fast, plus slippery surface 1
scubascuba3 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Ah yes indeed however, it was not stated anywhere that I could see, in which direction they were travelling. Either gravity or excess speed could be in play....Wouldn't have been uphill, no issue there, plus where they ended up makes no sense going up the hill

How do we tell where it is exactly?
