Psychopath living in my condo building // possibly needing to relocate - thoughts?

I have 2 small dogs.  We have a house and a large garden.  They are taken care of, fed, washed, groomed and treated with preventative medication to stop any fleas and worms etc. They are house trained, socialised to have 'manners' around people and other animals, and are trained to be obedient.

They are nice to have about, fun to interact with, guests think they are cute, they provide company when I am alone, and they are good 'security' if they bark when someone is about.

However, there seems to be some group / kind of people that take dog ownership and dogs way too far and they always follow the same pattern:

Their dogs never can do any wrong, or be annoying to other people.  The dog owner has no consideration for any people or neighbours that have a problem with their dogs.

Their dogs are 'family' and they 'love' them like their own babies. They love dogs 'more then humans'.

They treat the dogs like they are humans and not dogs (which have their own different needs).

They don't care about the dogs wellbeing... they are happy to say 'love' is enough and use that as an excuse to keep the poor animals shut up in cages hours each day, or locked in a condo alone when they go to work, lingering on in pain when sick rather then being put to sleep etc.

They start to collect or hoard dogs... saying they are 'rescuing' them.  It is like a compulsion to get more and more dogs.. and also go out and feed street dogs.

And, they are immune to the smell, noise, and mess their own dogs might create.

Great post, probably the best post that I have seen on here this year.

OP, it would obviously be better for all concerned if you move to a new home. Better for you and your wife, better for your dogs and better for the German who, as you suggest, may have mental health problems.

For my sins I have been a member for many years. But the  thread about the psycho dog man and the 'arm out of the car window' phobia guy have been the best fun for years!

or father wanting to take action for his children emotional abuse with only evidence of abuse is that he would not have flown 10000 miles otherwise

Mid 40's, balding, apparently docks people's pay at his work if they put their foot against the outside wall of the building...called my friend a faggot to his face, then said my other friend is racist for pointing out he's German haha..

Not some little old German man. Sorry, I do have respect for people, but I lose that respect the second you threaten my wife, whether you're serious or not...

You sound like a bit of a gossip, knowing the Germans work practices etc.

I'm curious about how you would break his legs, and have you got it in you

to actually do it. I know I couldn't.

That, or we happen to consider pets as family? It's called love, or compassion? Maybe you didn't get any growing up, so it's hard for you to understand.

You got love and compassion from a dog growing up?

OP is your story true?

First you say the rule is dogs under 15 ks, then you say you have rescued a 25ks dog.

So if you take that dog to your condo you are breaking the rules.

Are you sure the German is the problem, and not you?

Dogs in condos, no way the would make the place stink, and cover it in fleas, yuk.

We have a dog at our home, part of the time on a chain, every 2 days i wash the area down with the hose pipe, and still i can smell the dog, and that is outside.

If you keep a dog chained, then you are worse than the people that keep dogs in condos.

If the OP is renting, his complaints have to go directly to the person or people he is renting from, not the management company. The management company will only deal with the owner not the renter.

If the dispute between the German and the OP become physical and someone gets hurt that then becomes a criminal case and the police will get involved. But still the OP will have to prove the German attacked him first.

Best thing is to move out. I have no sympathies for the OP anyway, condos are not suitable environments for dogs or cats. Get a goldfish or hamster instead and save all the hassle.

Its the absurdity of the position of the OP and the subsequent shooting down in flames that entertains me.

I do not find his post to be absurd, some of the replies are  far beyond absurd though .????

But gradually as the OP responds you get a sense of their personality.

I haven't set foot in my condo yet with the dog - we're still up north at a hospital for 4 days while he undergoes surgery for his hip. So technically I haven't yet broken the rules. I also asked if anyone had recommendations to move to a new place, if you weren't such a close-minded dick you'd actually see that I'm trying to find some sort of honest, responsible recourse for the situation I am in.

I f you speak like that to other people in your environment, you are getting everything you deserve.

A Great thread bringing out all kinds of cranky views.

Yes... I'd never choose to live in a condo with dogs, but given that the OPs place accepts them, I can't see how he's not in the right here. Nothing worse than psycho neighbours.

worse? ... well, if the psycho armed himself with a woofer stopper,

which would give him some warped satisfaction in annoying the crap of any mutt that crosses his path

... and in the elevator, the mutt cannot get away from the ultrasonics...

You might want to venture outside the dog subforum.

OP you are welcome to borrow my red setter....she is absolutely nuts and adorable to friends but would eat anyone who upset my better half.

In fact sometimes I'm not sure which I'm more frightened of.

The dog is chained some times, mainly at night for its own safety.

Many dogs in this village have been poisoned, so i keep it chained in the middle of the property too far for people to throw poisoned meat, if you read my previous posts about this village you would be aware of that

A long light chain is perfectly acceptable.  Im glad I live in Pattaya with its low crime rate.

Please explain.  I am outside the dog forum.

Twasn't a slur on the Bangkok forum which I frequently visit. Rather a reality check on the vote for best post of the year. It's really just another way of saying "you might want to get out more..."

So I could not have possibly seen the site in the past without registering?

Your posts are becoming more idiotic as you go along.

Maybe now would be the best time to take your foot out of your mouth before you choke yourself.

When I stated that this was ' probably the best post that I have seen on here this year' it was my personal opinion.

You see, I was under the mistaken belief that I would be allowed to state my opinion on an open forum but apparently not.

I apologize for holding an opinion that does not match yours.

Please tell me what I am allowed to 'like' so that I don't upset you in future.

I travel frequently thank you, both inside Thailand and the world outside.

I quite liked the thread myself, otherwise I wouldn't have read through it and commented. And I agree with the comments in the post you nominated for top prize. However, it's late September, if it's the best you've seen all year, I still think you might want to get out more.
