Bangkok Hotel Features Hitler Hotel Room
"We expect that Thai authorities will move swiftly to either close the establishment," Cooper added, "or demand that such a room be redesigned immediately."

A hotel located in Bangkok features a room dedicated entirely to Nazi leader and mass murderer Adolf Hitler.

The Holocaust, a genocide primarily of Jews during World War II, was initiated by Nazi Germany, lead by Hitler.

The room is draped in photos of the man who headed the murder of over six million Jews in all of the rooms, as well as a swastika along the far wall.

I'm disappointed by the obvious lack of swastikas!

we don't know the name of that hotel?

there is one strange thing in the photo: the door on the right, this kind of doorhandle and lock is quite rare in Thailand.

"...Bangkok Hotel Features Hitler Hotel Room..."

This is, in my view, a case of stupidity and ignorance over any attempt at malice or anti-semitism.

However, this is not the first time this kind of idiocy has occurred but it should be the last. A few years back I had a Thai language teacher goose-stepping around the classroom; he was a good guy with no idea at all of how truly offensive he was acting. It is time for Thailand to educate its people on the evils of Nazism, the symbols of the holocaust, and the reasons why they are so utterly offensive to so many.

A deep, sincere and public apology is needed, along with a meaningful effort to educate Thais on the past; this kind of thing should never happen again.

It is sickening.

I found more info on a site that usually advertises its stories on Thaivisa:

https://coconuts.co/bangkok/lifestyle/sexual-heiling-nonthaburi-love-hotels-communism-room-features-hitler-mural/

apparently, and contrary to what's said in the opening post, it's not a hitler room, it also features communist symbols in addition to hitler's photo and the nazi warflag, so it's more like a European war criminals' room.

Stick the Thammasat massacre in for good measure and the student hanging from the tree beaten with shoes. Obviously in funky day glo colours.

We should draw the line of sensitivity and good taste if they erect a gas chamber in the lobby with zyklon B canisters as souvenirs...

So I take it there won't be a Long March Room, complete with compulsory treadmill?

Isn’t it called the “wine bunker”?

"I am velly  solly Mr Rubenstein.  Only room available.."

I think the 'designer' felt the itch to show his level of ignorance when he/she hung up a Hitler portrait in the "communist room".

They don't do it to irk foreigners. They have no idea what it means.

think they do this for free advertising.

No a bad theme in Thailand. They should include all dictator names for each room, would give big boost to tourists.

They really lost an op on this one. Should have built a bunker underground.... no worries about views, probably quieter, and generally considered low value area turned into a real money maker.
