One does wonder how the obscenely nasty, abohrrent, Nazis became a symbol of cool. Hollywood portrayals perhaps, or maybe bikers. Your guess is as good as mine Could be those black, Hugo Boss SS uniforms.
October 4, 20187 yr Other news sources report the short time hotel calls this the “communist room” and it actually has communist symbols all over the room. Then they added the hitler mural and Nazi symbol to the room. Would be a funny joke if not so sensitive a subject. No one hated the communists more than Hitler and the Nazis. ????
October 4, 20187 yr Before the Jewish congregation goes over the moon again - PLEASE apply common sense. It is with almost certain accuracy total ignorance by those who decided to design such a room. A word to the owners and the room will be changed for sure, without any problem. It is, again with almost certain accuracy, not a nest of neo-Nazis who have dedicated a hotel room as their new Führerhauptquartier. If there would have been such intentions, then names like Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot or Kim Sung would spring to mind much earlier .........
October 4, 20187 yr We should also ban everything with: Mao, Stalin, Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Bush, Hirohito, MacDonald, Dole ,and everyone/everything else that have had negative impact on humanity... Sure Thailand need to learn about history, but we all need to learn and include all the facts and not only those facts that falls well in to our viewpoint. Everybody talks a bout the killing of 6 million Jews (from all over Europe) during WWII but how about the 26 million Russians or 20 million Chinese who died during WWII, 1.2 million dead during the Korean war or the around 3million people who died because of US involvement in Vietnam!?!?!?

October 4, 20187 yr Speaking as someone who isn't going to ever say that some Nazis are "good people" I think that any organization making a thing about this one room should have just let this one go. Save it for bigger stuff. Basically, they've given this hotel (what is it, a fetish hotel?) free publicity. Next …

Seems to be fairly over-estimated. "Sure Thailand need to learn about history, but we all need to learn and include all the facts and not only those facts that falls well in to our viewpoint." quite true. However, the real history is usually unknown. History books are written by the winners. (and usually unfair ???? ) Please do not forget those 150 million victims killed by communists and leftist. October 4, 20187 yr Quirky! Nazi symbols and gestures are not illegal in Thailand. Not sure if it is the right deco for a love motel though....
October 4, 20187 yr Maybe it's good marketing.. with the drop-off in Chinese tourists maybe they're trying to woo far-right thinking citizens from Germany next!

When the outrage stops it will all to easily happen again.
October 4, 20187 yr What next? Does the hotel arrange cattle trucks to pick up guests from the airport and transport them to the hotel. I`d be very reluctant to use the showers in those rooms. Seriously, would anyone really want to stay there.
October 4, 20187 yr many people would just say that they don't know and they mean no malice but really their total ignorance of anything at all is not excusable it is just an indication of how truly dumb they are as a nation and just how really bad their education system is. In the Sun report they even call it a "communist room". It's a sad reflection on the Thai nation as a whole as this will no doubt quickly travel around the world and most of the world with the exception of Thailand will understand the difference between fascism and communism, notwithstanding the offensiveness this is a perfect and clear advert of utter lack of intelligence.
October 4, 20187 yr It also shows the Commies... No one is forcing anyone to stay there, time to move-on !

October 4, 20187 yr I wonder if a Christian room or a Muslim room full of their pictures and trinkets would attract so much criticism. When you think about it, far more people have been brutally murdered using religion and Gods name for centuries. And it's still happening today! But try to talk about it and the left go crazy and brand you as a Nazi, Fascist, Racist or Bigot. The number of people torchered and killed in Gods name is monumental. Kinda makes the number of people murdered in WW2 seem very small in comparison. But because its classified as religion, it gets overlooked and whitewashed.

Nice point about the door handle. However, I politely disagree as I have seen such door handles in many hotels. Is it the triple barrel mortice and dread lock?

The most famous Buddhist of the last century, Saloth Sar, killed millions people. However, he did it in the name of politics: Socialism. Talking of which, Che Guevara images, another agent of murder and oppression are prevalent in Thailand.
