Hotmail Sign Up Emails

Trying to help a computer novice to sign up.. She has a hotmail email..

Not receiving the sign up confirm email.. Its not in junk or filtered an the email is working.. Mail sent after the signup is in there..

She doesnt have multiple email accounts to try others...

Any reasons ??

Any way to resend validation links ??

Even having logged in and resending validation email..

All is entered correct.. Email is working.. But we are not getting the forum one...

I have tried the resend validation (can log in now but cannot post) but nothing is getting through..
