A seven-year-old Phatthalung girl is in hospital with severe injuries after being crushed beneath the sliding gate at the Provincial Administrative Organisation offices on Tuesday night.

The girl was rescued by people celebrating the annual Buddha image procession event nearby.

Doctors say the girl’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said the girl went to the festival to sell balloons with her grandfather. When it began raining, they sought shelter at the Phatthalung PAO compound, but while opening the gate it slipped off its rails and tumbled onto the child.

Expect the POA,will say nothing to do with them,

they should not have been on their property,

I thought sliding gates had an attachment on the

top of the post to prevent this happening.

hope the young girl makes a quick recovery.

They were probably lifting it off it's wheels, to get around the lock.
