Yes, but it's a question of numbers. Take i.e. 60 million lose nuts armed with stones or maybe kitchen knifes. Or take the same 60 million nuts armed with assault rifles. Now which group is more dangerous? I know it must be a real difficult questions because Americans think about that for many years but they were not able to figure it out until now. 16 2

snoop1130
12 people including police officer killed, gunman also dead, in California bar shooting by Rich McKay First responders are seen outside Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, California, U.S. November 7, 2018 in this image obtained from social media on November 8, 2018. Thomas Gorden/via REUTERS (Reuters) - A gunman killed 12 people, including a sheriff’s deputy, when he walked into a Southern California bar and grill and started shooting on Wednesday night, police said. The gunman was also killed, Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean told a news conference on Thursday, though it was not immediately clear by whom. An unknown number of people were also wounded during the attack at the Borderline Bar and Grill, a Country & Western venue in the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks where a crowd had gathered for a night of dancing, drinking and eating. “It’s a horrific scene in there,” Dean said. “There is blood everywhere and the suspect is part of that.” The sheriff’s deputy who died was identified as Sgt. Ron Helus, a 29-year-veteran of the department, Dean said. No other victims were identified. The sheriff said the gunman has not been identified and there was no known motive for the shooting. Accounts about the incident varied widely throughout the early morning hours with initial reports saying the suspect was in custody. But Sheriff Dean has since said that the gunman died at the scene. Some social media accounts said a bearded man wearing a dark trenchcoat walked in and started shooting. Witnesses told CNN that patrons were there for the “College Country” night with line-dancing, music, drinks and food, and the place was packed with a young crowd. When the shots started, some people smashed windows with chairs to escape, witnesses told CNN. Other witnesses and people posting on social media said that the man might have fired up to 30 times. Others reported fewer shots, and he might have tossed smoke bombs. Officials said that shots were still being fired when the first officers arrived at the scene. -- © Copyright Reuters 2018-11-
Popular Post spidermike007
12 dead including a sheriff. At least 12 more injured. When will this madness stop? The NRA still refuses to endorse background checks. The NRA is a terrorist organization. Let's be clear about that. They need to be outlawed. And gun shows must end. Something has to be done. Something drastic.

This time it was a hand gun - but this a gun/rifle which was sold legally. But the AR-15 seems to be the favorite weapon in most of these shootings. Fore Man
I once lived in serene, picturesque Thousand Oaks. At the time they boasted of claiming title to the safest small city in the US. It’s a town where Hollywood stars and executives choose to live. Great educational system too. And now all that has been quashed by a crazed, lone, angry shooter. Unfortunately he was a military vet and I’m sure we’ll see another huge backlash mounting in the media and Congress against veterans who own firearms. One nutjob out of thousands of sane, law-abiding vets will satisfy/justify the coming bloodlust...
attrayant
28 minutes ago, riclag said: Can we see one source for this. The federal government defines it as three or more killings in a single incident. Here's a list of them all: https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting The Gun Violence Archive defines defines a mass shooting as a single incident in which four or more people, not including the shooter, are shot and/or killed at the same general time and location. Note that the feds use the term "mass killings", which accounts for the differing definitions. Edited November 9, 2018 by attrayant

When Ozzies had their last mass shooting, over 30 years ago, our Govt. did not let all Ozzies get guns, no more mass shootings since then so your argument flys out the window. 2
