"Smiley" buffalo settles into Bangkok police custody as dispute rages

 

 

Thong Kham - the smiling buffalo at the center of a financial dispute - has settled into life at Khanna Yao police station in Bangkok. 

 

A pen has been set up up and Thong Kham has been watered and fed grass at the station. 

 

He has even done some grazing, reported Daily News.

 

 

He looked a bit sad at being locked up but a vet said that this was only natural - he was missing his two mates from back home in Chainat. 

 

The now famous buffalo is under 24 hour police guard as the row between a farmer and a district official rages.
