My view, open your Wise to have a UK address. My understanding, if you open to have a Thailand address in the account, and if you decide to transfer non-Thai currency money into Wise, then in the case of a Thailand address, that money is automatically converted to Thai baht. You have no choice. So this might cost you more money if you wish to use your Wise account outside of Thailand. Lets say you wish to travel to Australia and New Zealand. Lets say you wish to use your Wise account/debit card during those travels. And further lets say, you are funding this travel based on your money in the UK. If you have a UK Wise address, you can transfer the UK pounds money to wise to be Australian (or New Zealand) dollars, and pay 1 currency conversion - pounds to Aus/NZ Dollars. But if you have a Thai Wise address, when you transfer the UK pounds money to Wise, it won't go to Australian (nor New Zealand) dollars direct. Instead it is converted from UK pounds to Thai baht, and then converted to Australian (or New Zealand) dollars. So this costs you more money, as you end up paying the fee fort two currency conversions, and not just one. At least that is my understanding. Hopefully other chime in and correct me if I have this wrong.
