When I started Keto, it was to lose weight. I weighed 30 kilograms more than was health, and my body was in revolt. I looked like a whale, felt like a whale, and was quickly losing my self-respect. I had always been athletic, but really couldn't play well any longer. Keto took the weight off quickly and easily. I could track the loss each week, seeing very positive reduction, which was motivating. Once I reached my target weight, I discovered this eating style did more for my body than just losing weight. Those little aches and pains we older folks experience in the morning were gone! Shoulders, knees, hands... all felt 'younger.' I felt younger. I broke the diet for a week (I thought I was missing pizza and pasta) and saw all those little aches come right back! So I went back into the diet and made it a lifestyle. I've been following it for over seven years now (I track my weight and blood pressure every Saturday). My weight has remained 72+/- kilo for the past 6 years. This chart starts at Week 26, a half year into Keto. I'm at Week 382 now.
