China no they ended up with mao…..Poland as per % of population lost more lives than any other nation they suffered the most and it took them decades to get out from under the Russian boot.the leaders tempered by the two world wars were in my opinion wise in the sense of helping Germany and japan rejoin the world in a positive manner stamping out the militaristic side of bushido and stamping out the Nazi ideals.in my opinion it was and is a good move.imagine for a moment if Russia was an open democratic nation trading peacefully with the world…. -

Decisions, decisions, where to stay in retirement?
Actually, the sole reason why I originally moved to Thailand 23 years ago was because my health deteriorated badly after I worked for several winter months in an unheated, damp, underground office in London that had been empty for some previous years. I suspect aspergillosis fungal spores were present in the office, but I was the only one to get sick and I was never tested for aspergillosis. After months of suffering from pneumonia and bronchitis, my doctor suggested that a south-east Asia climate might help. It did! I jumped on a plane and tested short stays in Bangkok and my lung health improved a lot. So I moved permanently to south-east Asia. But over the subsequent years I still had lung flare-ups in different locations, such as where the burning season events occur. My best health is when I stay by the sea in south Thailand. -

Apparently, it's not quite that simple. Sure, missiles can be launched from anywhere, but for Russia and its strategic defense setup, time is critical. Shorter range missiles would arrive at their targets more quickly and therefore pose a greater threat. And once missiles start to fly, it's a game of "use them or lose them." -
