Hotel thefts continue............

Incidents of thefts from Hotel rooms and houses continue a-pace here in Pattaya as Police appear powerless to stop such crimes.

The first case comes from the Julie Complex Hotel on Walking Street. Mr. Jamel Hawker aged 35 from England called the Police after he returned to his room to find the front door open and items of value had been stolen.

A Laptop, Playstation 2, mobile phone and 300,000 Baht in cash was taken from the room. Police arrived at the room and spoke with Hotel Staff who mentioned that Mr. Ragit from Jordan had checked out early from an opposite Hotel room approximately 30 minutes before Mr. Hawker arrived.

Police checked Mr. Ragit’s room and found a screw driver, an empty mobile phone box which matched the stolen phone and a T-Shirt belonging to the victim. Police have few details of Mr. Ragit who is now wanted on a charge of theft. He checked in without showing any passports or other forms of Identification which he promised to show staff later on that night.

was the las 24 hours the worst in the history of pattaya: at least 3 deaths, burglaries, arrests, snatches.

what a nice place to be on a holiday :o
