Vientiane Tourist Visa

I am a Englishman staying for 5 years in Thailand on Tourist Visas but my local immigration office wanted to give me just 7 days extension on my last tourist visa since my passport is full of them but gave me 30 days due to me promising to switch to a non O as I have a Filipino wife legally working in Thailand. Sadly my 30 days are nearly up and half the paperwork is stuck in Philippines and wont get back in time.
Is there any problems with getting another tourist visa at Vientiane, last visit a South African got a last visa red marked but her mother with same travel history didn't.

How many tourist visas have you gotten at Vientiane? Sometimes they do a stamp at 3 of them and others have go one at 4.

This year 3, plus 2 crossings at Cambodia and a visa on arrival from airport returning from UK

You would be able to get another one in Vientiane but they may put the blue stamp (they are not red) that you will not be able to get anymore there but that would that would affect getting a non-o visa once you have the paperwork.

What is keeping your from getting a non-o visa in Vientiane. You should not need anything more than your marriage certificate and copies of your wife's passport photo page and her extension of stay stamp.

The wedding certificate is from the Philippines and she needed to get it notified by the embassy there, she went to the one on Bangkok they sent to Manilla and now it is being sent to her home in Baguio before being sent back to Thailand, I dont know why it is like that, just that, that is what has happened or something similar but it wont get back her for another 2 weeks so nearly six weeks in total.

That is because immigration wants the marriage certificate legalized for you to apply for a non immigrant visa and then an extension of stay.

You could of gotten a non-o visa at an embassy or consulate without the legalization being done.

It seems your only choice is to get another tourist visa.

Thank you for your help ubonjoe, you are right I will have to try for another tourist visa and then the other next time, it will give me time to see what i need and what i need translated, google search shows me non O for a thai wife and not non o foriegn wife, so I can work on finding a website with all the info on.
