davidupatterson
Hey all, Just bought a new, 2018 Wave 125 and had a little scuffle in my first week. Two Thai students on a bike pulled out in front of me and I ran right into them. The bike is fine, but there are a handful of plastic panels on the front left of the bike that are cracked and damaged. Being that the bike is new with less than 500 km on the clock, I'd like to replace them. I visited a few shops in Hang Dong today without luck. No stock and no offer to order for me. Any thoughts on where I can go in Chiang Mai to get replacement body parts for a black, 2018 Honda Wave 125? Thanks! Dave

OneMoreFarang
Maybe wait a few weeks in case some more Thai students on bikes pull out in front of you ????
davidupatterson
Thanks, all. I'll check out the Honda dealer on Huay Kaew road. I'm guessing plastic body parts should be relatively inexpensive - anyone have any experience with this? I thought that was a little high.... Edited December 29, 2018 by davidupatterson

Different side panels? Different handlebar shroud. Depending on what part is scuffed. Edited December 29, 2018 by VocalNeal
thomo1978
Go to this place https://www.google.com/maps/place/แสงชัยพาณิชย์+อะไหล่+-+Sangchai+Panich+Chiangmai/@18.7960601,99.0065348,19z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x30da254ad7a1bc51:0x8be5dec373b0a2be!8m2!3d18.7961017!4d99.0061022 I have found the easiest way is if you find a pdf parts list online and write down the parts numbers before you go. Just hand the list to one of the operators inside. Very easy and exceptionally cheap! This is where the bike shops buy their parts. Once you have the parts can either fit yourself (very easy on a wave) or any somchai side of the road motorbike shop will be able to do for peanuts.

Damrongsak
Here's some parts for a 2017 Wave 125i. Not sure if same as 2018. http://mototh.com/en/parts/222/Honda+WAVE125i+(2017) Some body parts are on pages 4 & 6. Here's a big 2018 catalog from Boon Sieu Honda in Malaysia. Might be helpful. https://www.boonsiewhonda.com.my/part-centre/shared/products/403/WaveW125I(2018).pdf
Issanman
The 2018 Wave 125 is changed from the 2017 Wave 125.

Yep - that's why I was having trouble finding a list. It's a new body style this year.
Damrongsak
So have a look at the Boon Sieu Honda catalog and see if stuff matches up, it's a start. Look at the date of the publication. Sheesh, you can do stuff like this on your own if you are motivated.
