Brexit bedlam - May's EU divorce deal crushed by 230 votes in parliament

He did, but moving his HO our of the UK is hardly a vote of confidence in the Brexit he sponsored.

It's a common trait of Brexiteers. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

Take the much vaunted champions of Brexit, Farage and Johnson, big on rhetoric before the referendum, but when the result came and the real work of securing a deal to take Britain out of the EU became a reality, they disappeared into the dust.

A pair of gobshites of the first order.

Whether you think they are gobshites that's your opinion but the other part of your post is fact-less and factually incorrect.

Is that, in fact, a fact?

Polls in the Republic show support for EU membership is growing. From May 2018: More than 90% of Irish people want to stay in EU, poll reveals. From November 2018: Brexit bedlam consolidates support for EU and euro in Republic.

So you would undo 100 years of bloody history and force the Republic back under British rule by making them do as we do?

That's even more moronic than the suggestion from some that the hard border question be resolved by forcing NI into the Republic against the will of the majority!

Here you apply your own sensationalist and false interpretations, yet again. Boring but expected now.

How do I show you that Farage and Johnson have been conspicuously silent since the referendum result was announced? You can't see fresh air.

As the world can witness what a great success story Brexit is, they probably can’t wait to join the circus.

Not sure if they have the right people though; finding enough uneducated imbeciles that believe the lies and conspiracy theories of some demagogues, plus politicians who willingly play the game might not be that easy.

Nothing to witness yet. We haven't left. The Irish will soon become disenchanted with the EU but will find it a lot more difficult to leave it.

It's a common trait of ardent Remainers like yourself to regard EU membership as a surrogate religion. It's the source of the meaning of their existence, the guarantee of future happiness and their source of law. It gives them their purpose in life. This is as close to cultism as it gets.

Well, it's not "a common trait" for this remainer. I have stated before that, in an ideal world, I would prefer not to be in the EU. I voted against joining back in the 70s.

However, I'm a realist, not an idealist and, as such, realise that it's not in Britain's best interest to leave the EU in the current economic climate. It's economic suicide.

Just to refresh your memory from your post a few pages back  I have pasted it below. So anymore to say or do you need a bigger shovel.

You've lost the plot. The 2 quotes say the same thing!

Dust? They are quite easy to find, especially Farage.

You really think that the EU can protect its fold from the next crash, don't you? Unreal.

It was proved in 2008 that you can't be totally protected against a global crash but it's better to fight together than stand alone.

The big trade issue at the moment, is Trump's trade wars. If Britain stands alone, he will pick us off like shelling peas.

Probably not as good as the (then alone) UK who will just hold a referendum asking people what they want to do with the crash and let Theresa dance around for two years until the crash is pissed off.

Where is this proof? Show the Greeks.

And I am not talking about recent trade issues.

They haven't  f**ked off. Farage is still an MEP. BoJo sits in the Commons. There are not now in positions of high power or influence. You can see them every day with a couple of clicks and Britain is not stuffed.

You can see them but can you hear them?

Mind you, I have to admit, "silence is golden"!

Time will tell who has the last laugh.

If you turn the sound up you can hear them too. Try it.

Why aren't you talking about recent trade issues? Don't they fit your agenda?

The Greeks were masters of their own demise, setting completely unaffordable socialist budgets to curry favour with their voters whilst destroying their economy, which was rescued by the EU.

Ah yes, I can hear them now. Muted guffawing aimed at the British electorate.
