Is there something better than Windows Media Player?

I heard that it has some features crippled, and being able to watch videos is an important consideration in upgrading.

It doesn't have any of its features crippled, contrary to what some fearmongers are yelling about..."GOM Player" is an excellent alternative, with added support for more exotic stuff like .MKV as well as subtitle insertion, etc.
