Could people with extensions based on retirement under current law require THB 400k in the bank as of 1 March???

Hi everybody,

the recent police order states, among others, that people with an extension based on retirement will need to maintain a minimum balance of THB 400k as of 1 March 2019.

Does this mean that people with extensions based on current law will need to comply as well?

Here is my case,  as an example:

. extension based on retirement expires mid July 2019

. I plan to bring in funds end of March to maintain bank book above THB 800k during April, May and June

. However, the balance of my bank book is now below THB 400k and will be during March

Could this be a problem at my Immigration Office (Udon Thani) when I apply for extension in early July?

Many thanks

Go and ask your local (to Udon Thani) Visa agency, which is the best practical solution. I would like to think that by evidencing 65k income per month up until the time you apply for extension could be acceptable.
