Hundreds of billions a year wasted on battling illegal immigration, billions and billions more in peripheral support of the same, millions and millions on top of that in medical care and everything else and the left doesn't even bat an eye, but oh dear god the earth is gonna explode if Trump wants a minuscule 5.7 billion to choke it down, which on top of it all is simply what CBP and Homeland requested for border security.

Trump needs to do whatever possible to block the left and their desire to allow foreign meddling in our country by way of illegal immigration. For the sovereignty of our country and the safety of its people, the wasted tax dollars, drug trafficking and on and on. 

Since when is fact hyperbole? What part of " . . .Trump is trying to avoid the American system of checks and balances to get his own way . . . " is exaggerated. Trump could not get Congress to back him on this, so he pulls out the "emergency" rabbit from his hat.  

 

And, why do you keep bringing-up Obama or other presidents or Clinton or whoever else is no longer in power?  No matter how badly you think someone else did, it doesn't make Trump's faults any less. Trump is in the bully pulpit; it is his show and he is responsible.

 

Checks and balances, " . . . NOW all of a sudden . . ."? Really, you haven't noticed most of Trump's political failures involving congress or the courts have been about checks and balances.

You also scoffed at my statement that California bears the brunt of the illegal immigration problems. Well, they do.

Yet, Florida is one of the states with the most illegal aliens—gee, I wonder how they get to Florida? And, New York, New Jersey and Illinois also do not border Mexico—gee, I wonder how they get there too. I suppose they all came through Mexico and took a grab cab.

 

Maybe some have come in by sneaking in through our vast coastline and some may have even gotten here legally and simply overstayed their visas—you know like so many farangs do in Thailand.

 

I do hope you realize that approximately 1250 of the approximately 1950 miles of border with Mexico, is the Rio Grande river between Texas and Mexico. I doubt many Texans with land on the Rio Grande would enjoy a wall between them and the riverfront view--even if they are Trump supporters

 

Quite frankly, I do not want to live in a walled country; especially when we have the technology to know when and where anyone is about to cross our borders. Gee, if we used our brains we may even be able to devise a better way to stop illegal aliens entering—nah, not with Trump in charge.

The lowest, most liberal source I could find was 50 billion. The highest was 275 billion. Its widely held that the real number is impossible to know. You want a debate compromise? Meet in the middle and call it 100 billion, every year. Over and over and over again. Yearly.

And all they had to do to overcome the filibuster was throw a bone to the DACA kids. But 45 thought it was better to toss out the 25 billion offered by the Dems for his wall because he wanted more.
