Couple killed, six injured in three-vehicle pile-up in Prachin Buri

A 29-year-old Italian tourist was seriously injured on Tuesday when the 12-year-old male elephant he and a friend were riding as part of a tourist activity in Phang-Nga’s Mueang district suddenly shook them to the ground and gored him in the stomach.

A 30-year-old Spanish man has been arrested for allegedly raping a Thai woman, whom he also allegedly handcuffed so she could not resist, at a luxury condominium in Bangkok’s Thong Lor area on the night of February 15, Immigration Bureau chief Pol Lt-General Surachet Hakpal told a press conference on Tuesday.

Airport smokers kicked out of Thai terminals

The Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) says they strongly support Thailand’s move to ban smoking inside the passenger terminals of all its airports, to protect employees and non-smoking travellers from exposure to secondhand smoke.

Forest Act to be amended to encourage felling and growing of rare trees

FAA lists 26 flaws in Thailand’s aviation standards that need rectification
