We have a digital TV that used to get all the regular Thai TV channels (3, 5, 7 etc), but now it only gets a smaller selection that doesn't include the main ones. The condo has recently changed Management - could they have changed the channel selection for the whole building? Do we now need a separate digital box to get them back? I always thought they were free-to-air?

Not being smart but why not ask the condo management if they changed anything
If not then
1: rescan tv channels
2: check for cable damage
3: check with neighbors if they have same trouble
4: local signal interference
5: try different TV

I just made a similar post. We get our thai channels through an Android app on our Android box. Last 2 weeks none seem to be working properly. Have tried other apps too. Says no internet connection yet netflix and kodi movies and everything else working fine. Something to do with elections?

Thanks. We've done #1 (no change) and #2 (no intelligible answer yet) and we're working on #3.

Your app is dependent on the internet and is a totally different delivery system to the digital terrestrial TV which comes over the air via an antenna. Try another app.

They are still free to air (who would pay for 24h advertising TV :whistling:).

For the problem as such I could only speculate, e.g. that it has to do with switching to full HD channels? (and your TV receiver not capable?)

On the satellite and on DVB-T2 there is a majority of channels now in full HD (1080).

The DVB-T system has changed quite a while ago to DVB-T2 for which new set-top boxes would be needed.

As we have all via satellite I don't know what they use in the condos/on the cable.

We have a new Toshiba HD internet TV. As it did show all the channels before, but now only has around 7 channels of which none are the main ones, I guess it must be down to the condo.

In the apartment block I live in
there are 2 cable companies supplying analogue and digital tv down their cables...the (digital) terrestrial channels are all there but re-muxed to different frequencies
(I call this DVB-T2 cable) it can be viewed with the stand alone boxes originally supplied via government coupons a few years ago and by TV'S with incorporated digital tuner.

Also apartment management reused the now "defunct" satellite multi access tv system wires that run to every room to supply DVB-T2 signals instead by replacing the satellite dish with a big terrestrial antenna and the satellite tuner boxes with a signal booster and bandpass filter to filter out 3g and 4g mobile phone interference
This too can be viewed with set top box and Tv's with built in digital tuner...but the frequencies are different.
My point is there are many ways to deliver the digital tv signals condo/apartment blocks often use "non standard" methods.

Also maybe the antenna has moved slightly so now you only get the strongest "MUX"

if you goto

let if find your location  for me its always incorrect ( finds from your IP address)

so navigate to your location  on the map by dragging it around and

zoom in using the + button   then click the blue teardrop icon in the top right hand corner  and put your mouse cursor  to your true location and left click   then it will point you to your nearest terrestrial transmitter and give details of the frequencies and compass bearing to point the antenna.
