This is typical of a desperate despot regime. Take out the major contenders, before the election. No competition is good competition. The army is worried. They are very worried. They want to maintain their power and they will do nearly anything to "win" this election. However, the extent to which the army and Prayuth are despised, means that even Bugs Bunny could win this. I think most votes will be protest votes. The army is so far past their expiration date, and most know it. Get out now. You are not liked. You are not needed. You are not good for your nation.

Agreed, but with so many parties up for election the vote is very fragmented, which poses the threat the "military" might steal it with a low but majority win !

...so...some of these experts in everything insist that.....

...the Thai people would be better off voting for...and having in power....

...a bunch of fugitives from the law....???

...go figure...

A coalition government is in the near future - now to get 2-3 parties to agree on a common goal......

A fraudster is a top qualification for any politician so I can't see what all the fuss is about.

The junta lot are pretty scared of Future Forward Party and it's ideas, goals and popularity with younger voters. Hopefully the FFP will do really well in the election as that will create a major headache for quite a few...if of course, the junta doesn't do a Hun Sen on as many as possible.
